"Creation" and "expression", two words I use relentlessly almost interchangeably....
I don't remember the first time I expressed creatively, I only remember always doing so. The first seven years of my life I spent surrounded by artists and artisans which made up my family. Aunts and uncles painting, carving, sculpting, designing as a means of expression and work. Maybe through watching them I automatically delved into my own creative endeavors which didn't fully actualize until my teens. As I became an adult art became my way of expressing my emotions, intentions, and sometimes foretelling. Today it is a means to reach and create community. I use it to help others connect to themselves and the world around them. To me the creation/expression and sharing of art is a holy intimate act.
My painting style is free spirited, not very figurative, more abstract, colorific, and often linear. Almost as if I were painting with my souls' rhythm, and maybe I am.
My photography captures what and where my eyes find beauty and sometimes feeling. I believe all things posses spirit, another word for energy. Come to find out, science tells us matter is made of energy.
